Murray Jurgeleit – Chairman Former CEO and Managing Director of FX Networks, Murray Jurgeleit has a long and storied history in the New Zealand IT and Network sector. A product of IBM in the 80s, Murray went on to run some of New Zealand’s most successful challenger network businesses, including Logical Networks, Cray Communications and, most recently, FX Networks. The ten-year FX journey ended in 2015 with a trade sale to Vocus Communications, earning Murray a well deserved but ultimately short-lived retirement. Cello are lucky to have someone of Murray’s calibre and industry credentials to oversee its emergence as NZ’s newest business network provider. Murray lives at the beach these days and outside of his Cello responsibilities, is a keen fisherman and bridge player.
Mark Jurgeleit – CEO
A former banking industry professional, Mark learned his trade at BNZ, HSBC, and Westpac before operating a niche Auckland finance broking business, Meta Group, through the early 2000s. In 2010, he transitioned into the IT sector in a sales role for FX Networks in Auckland, and in 2012 moved to Wellington to run the Southern region. After the sale of FX to Vocus was completed in 2015, Mark moved to CCL where he embarked on building the team that would become known as CCL Networks, and would ultimately emerge from Spark and CCL as Cello Communications. Mark is kept busy outside of Cello by three daughters and is an avid sports fan.
Jonathan Holt – Director Product & Strategy Despite his youthful exterior and modest demeanour, Jon has amassed a deep expertise in networks and security as they pertain to the New Zealand market. Honed through technical roles at CCL and FX Networks, Jon’s ability to match the unique requirements of a complex customer environment to a deliverable outcome using the resources at Cello’s disposal, sees him in high demand with our key customers. Jon is one of New Zealand’s leading SDWAN exponents, and his breadth of knowledge, skill with customers and absolute dedication to his development, has seen him emerge as the obvious leader in product and strategy for Cello.
Ivan Walker – CTO As Cello’s CTO, Ivan ‘owns’ and supports our critical network infrastructure, and while this is the senior technical role in the business, in reality, he is the guardian of the customer experience. Cello’s managed network services rely on the Cello Core, and Ivan has overseen its evolution from an idea, through its early inception, through to the ultra resilient, high capacity, multi carrier platform we use today. A long held CCIE, Ivan has developed his skills through IBM, Logical, FX and now Cello. His legendary calm and inclusive leadership style has seen him build a formidable group of engineers to support the growing needs of our business. Ivan has two sons and spends much of his time outside of work at playing or supporting his son’s football efforts.
Patricia Aquino – General Manager Network Delivery Formerly a network engineer, Pat’s passion for Network Delivery developed during her time at FX Networks. After leading the southern FX delivery team, Pat joined CCL Networks and over the past 5 years has quietly built the most competent network delivery team in the sector. Pat’s relentless focus on supplier management, customer outcomes and general accuracy is matched with a management style that has attracted some of New Zealand’s leading network delivery practitioners. She leads a team that prides itself on the outcomes they create for our customers. Outside of work Pat enjoys family time and is known for indulging in karaoke on a night out.
Falko Weber – Chief Operating Officer Coming from a presales and delivery background at FX Networks, Falko became a distinguished project manager before joining CCL Networks as Programme Manager at its inception in 2015. Falko’s iron grip of the detail, coupled with his legendary direct and forthright manner has seen him take efficiency to new levels. His analysis and awareness of the market ensures he procures effectively for Cello and its customers, and his breadth of knowledge across the business has made him the ideal candidate to step into the COO role in the new operating model. Falko is also known for his meticulous financial management, his casual feats of extreme endurance and an emerging passion for golf.
